SYTYCD Returning To Once-A-Year Format?

That would probably be best. It’s dance overload on TV lately!

Nigel Lythgoe of So You Think You Can Dance reportedly told the studio audience on Wednesday that twice-yearly, back-to-back seasons of the show would be too much for the British judge and executive producer.

Traditionally the show only ran in the summer, but this year a fall version was aired as well which helped Fox’s overall ratings.

A rep from Fox is downplaying Lythogoe’s confession saying that scheduling decisions haven’t been made yet presumably because Fox wants to keep the twice-a-year format to boost ratings.

It could go back to once-a-year for another reason with Simon Cowell‘s The X Factor potentially making its way to the US.

Do U like having SYTYCD twice a year?
