Natalie Cole had to be hospitalized for health issues last September.
The singer has been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and has been trying to battle the disease with chemotherapy. The 58-year-old Cole is currently waiting for a kidney transplant. That would help put an end to the dialysis she has to undergo three times a week!
On a positive note, it seems like her son, 31-year-old Robert, may be a donor.
She said during an interview on Tuesday, “My son may be a possible [donor] match. It’s very sweet and kind of strange to have people offer something like that.”
Cole is a fighter! Despite her medical issues, she didn’t let that stop her from touring worldwide the past six months.
Let’s hope she gets a transplant soon and recuperates quickly.
P.S. Natalie used to be a hardcore druggie back in the day, which probably contributed to her health woes.
