In the clip, a pilot is seen lecturing the Tamar & Vince star about following flight attendant instructions, and not allowing her to ask any questions.

He says:

“Here’s how this works. My flight attendants work for me. They give orders that come from me. So if you get an instruction from a flight attendant, I need to know that you are willing and able to do what you’re told to do. Are you willing and able to do what you’re told to do by a flight attendant? Don’t ask me any questions. Answer yes or no.”

Towanda added in the caption:

“Wow! I guess being a diamond and double million miler don’t matter… @deltaShame on you… #flyingwhileblack #smh”

According to Page Six, Tamar and her entourage reportedly boarded the plane and exhibited unusual behavior. Reportedly, they tried to deplane and leave their baggage on board, which is in violation of federal law.

Braxton and co. apparently tried to purposely delay the flight, which is why flight attendants addressed the group. When they reportedly didn’t comply, the pilot then got involved.

A rep for the company issued the following statement:

“It’s crucial for the safety of every flight for customers to be willing and able to follow crew instructions. When these customers exhibited some unusual behavior and refused to acknowledge our flight crew’s instructions, the captain addressed them directly to ensure the safety and security of the entire flight.”

Delta even addressed Towanda directly on Twitter:
