Wisconsin, you just made our list of places to visit! Ha!
Not only did they re-elect President Obama last night, they elected the nation’s first openly gay senator — Tammy Baldwin!!
Running as a Democrat, Tammy defeated the popular, former Governor Tommy Thompson.
Impressive all around!!
As Tammy acknowledged her victory, she said something truly inspirational:
“Now, I am well aware that I will have the honor of being Wisconsin’s first woman senator. And I am well aware that I will be the first openly gay member. But I didn’t run to make history. I ran to make a difference.”
BRAVA!! BRAAA-VAHH!!!
America is really moving forward! What a glorious time we live in!
But don’t get us wrong — we know there’s still plenty we need to work on, but it’s really rejuvenating to know the majority of the country feels going progressive is the best way to go.
We can ALL strengthen our nation together. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Peace & Freedom lovers… everyone!! Onward!!
