What a way to start your day.
On Wednesday morning, an unidentified man walked into a Target in Fontana, Cali. and stabbed himself to death in his torso with a knife he stole from the kitchen section!
The Fontana Police Department says that surveillance video shows the victim walking into the store around 11 a.m. PST and taking “a knife out of a package before using it to stab himself.”

Shortly after police arrived, they found the man in the housewares section dead at the scene.
Christopher Calle, a shopper at the time, said he heard people yelling, saying:

“There were just people screaming oh we need help and we were trying to figure out which aisle, where he was and people were like ‘don’t do it, don’t do it.'”

What makes this even more disturbing is that Target apparently allowed guests to continue shopping after the incident was reported for close to two hours!
Though the section of the store was “secured and covered” and the public couldn’t easily see the scene, shopper Marlene Rodriguez spoke to Los Angeles News Group, saying:

“If something like that really happened why would you open up the store, period? Why would you continue to let people come in? Why are you just so, like, whatever about it? It’s kind of disgusting and disturbing at the same time.”

A corporate spokesperson for Target released a statement regarding the incident saying:

“At Target, the safety and security of our team members and guests is our top priority. Once it was determined there was no danger to guests or team members, we sectioned off the entire area to allow the police to investigate. Following that investigation, we did close the store, and the store remains closed. We anticipate reopening soon. We appreciate the support of local law enforcement, and our thoughts are with anyone who may have been impacted.”

Are U disturbed the store stayed open while police investigated the death?!
