Target: We Will NOT Carry Frank Ocean's New CD, And It's Not Because He's Gay

When Frank Ocean came out he was flooded with support.
But you will NOT see Target in line to give him highfives!
The chain has refused to sell his new album Channel Orange. The bullseye’s people swear the decision has nothing to do with the artist’s sexuality, and claim the Ocean-free shelves resulted from a “policy issue.”
In a statement, the superstore says:

“We focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, so our selection of new releases is dedicated to physical CDs rather than titles that are released digitally in advance of the street date.”

Meaning, since Ocean’s CD was released on iTunes before they could sell it on shelves, they didn’t want to sell it at all.
That kinda makes sense… if that was actually their policy!
Target has sold many CDs — including Owl City‘s second album — off their shelves even though they were available on iTunes a before physical copies were released.
Hmmmm……
Yep. There’s def something fishy about this Ocean situation!
