Taryn Manning Continues To Vent About Her $200 Dress Drama While STILL Being Problematic!

Taryn Manning is fine with all the “white trash” exploitation — she just wants to be in on it, too!
Earlier this week, the Orange Is the New Black star explained more in detail why she slammed her stylist for dressing her in a $200 Adrianna Papell dress for the SAG Awards without disclosing the price.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the actress detailed her humble beginnings of growing up in section 8 housing and shopping for school clothes at Goodwill and Salvation Army.

Lamenting how she “never got to school shop like the other kids,” Manning admitted it cut extra deep when she learned her stylist handed her a cheaper red carpet outfit without giving her a heads up.
Though she’s long tried to outrun her stigma of being “some white trash unworthy lowlife,” the 39-year-old said she understands her past is what defines her as an artist and what allows her to “help people who have been made to feel like pure shit their whole lives.”
So, she has no problem exploiting her image — that’s showbiz, after all — but next time, girl wants a heads up. She explained:

“Regarding the award show and the 200 dress, all I ask is that I be in on it. If I was in on it & part of the plan to be exploited, everything would be so much more clear and w/ the designers best interest in mind.”

Fair enough!
If Manning wasn’t clear about living her truth in the post, she let her authentic self shine in the comments section by calling one responder a “tard”:

Ugh. Really??
Days later, she seemed to roast herself for fabricating all the drama, posting:

Ha! Keep doing you, Pennsatucky!
