Tate McRae has a new man!

After weeks and weeks of speculation from Tater Tots, it’s official! The pop star has moved on from her 2025 breakup with The Kid LAROI and is seeing Team USA‘s Olympic hockey star Jack Hughes. Per a source for US Weekly on Wednesday, the duo started seeing each other WAY further back than you might think:

“Tate and Jack are dating. They started casually seeing each other late last year, so it’s still new, but they are exclusively seeing each other.”

OMG!

But how did this world star athlete and pop princess get united? The source says he “initially messaged her on IG and started a conversation”. Sliding into the DMs is sometimes the best strategy!

The 22-year-old singer and dancer sounds completely smitten with him, too:

“She thinks he is a really cool guy and they have been having a lot of fun together. She has been so supportive of his career and has been loving going to the games and cheering him on.”

Aww. Too cute! But with her Miss Possessive Tour having just wrapped up late last year, and the hockey season coming to a close, Tate and Jack are hopeful to cozy up together during their break:

“They are making it work during this busy season, but hope to have more time together next month when his season ends. Tate thinks he’s really sweet and it’s going well so far.”
