When Las Vegas cabbie Gerardo Gamboa looked in the brown paper bag left behind by a passenger who had been in his cab, he didn’t find what he thought were Christmas chocolates.
He found $300,000 in $100 bills!
While a lot of people might have been unable to resist pocketing that much dough, Gerardo made it to the top of Santa’s Nice List by turning in every cent! He says:
“My dignity is not for sale, and that’s the way I am. That’s the way our parents taught us when I was a kid.”
So who was the lucky rider who got his fortune back?
“Lucky” is actually a dead-on description. Gerardo’s cab company Yellow Check Star described the mystery man as a “famous 28-year-old poker player” but wouldn’t say which one!
So was Gerardo rewarded for his honesty? Find out …AFTER THE JUMP!!!
