Taylor Lautner's Wife Tay Gets Vulnerable About Why She Doesn't 'Like Being Pregnant' -- And The 'Meltdown' That Came With It

Taylor Lautner's Wife Tay Admits She's 'Not Feeling Great' Amid Changes To Her Body From Pregnancy

Pregnancy is such an exciting time for so many parents, but it can also stir up a LOT of unexpected emotions. Expecting momma Tay Lautner is among those experiencing some downsides right now.

Taylor Lautner‘s wife got really honest about her pregnancy journey so far in Wednesday’s episode of her podcast, The Squeeze. She told guest Kay Dudley that she’s doing better than the first few months of her pregnancy, but it’s still been difficult:

“I was like just having a meltdown and I was like, I don’t think I like being pregnant. Which, you know, sounds horrible to say, but like … I’m not really enjoying all of the things that come along with it.”

Kay, a mother of three daughters, totally agreed that it can be very hard, especially when it comes to the physical changes:

“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten more appreciative of my body changes, but it is hard to kinda wrap your mind around that.”

And that’s exactly what the nurse has been facing! The 29-year-old, who announced she’s expecting in late March, said she’s been battling unusual insecurities about how she looks:

“I’ve never really struggled with comparison, but I’ve definitely found myself comparing like my pregnant body to other pregnant women, especially the women that are weeks away from giving birth and are still all skinny and fit.”

She added:

“I’m like in my husband’s jeans right now. It’s the first time I’ve really had that struggle before, which I think might also be a thing. … I’m already not feeling great about myself, but then the comparison aspect of it.”

Oof. It’s SO hard not to compare yourself to others — especially in this digital age — but it’s so important to remember everyone is on their own journey. That said, we’re sure there are so many mothers who can relate to these insecurities, and sometimes, opening up about them is all it takes to feel less alone in a struggle like this!
