Such was the case when Madonna was asked by Australia’s TODAY how she felt about the current roster of female pop stars.
The 56-year-old music legend responded:
“It’s good to have princesses [of pop]. It means there’s lots of pretty dresses around. I like Taylor Swift. I think she writes some really catchy pop songs. I can’t get them out of my head.”
When Tay Tay heard Madge’s golden words of praise, she went on her Tumblr and wrote the very appropriate:
“Thanks now I’m dead.”
She also used the tags “#how am i supposed to deal with this” and “#BE COOL TAYLOR STOP BEING EMBARRASSING” to express her boundless joy!
Who knew the Blank Space singer could be such a fangirl?!
