On Wednesday, Forbes revealed that Katy Perry was the highest-paid female musician of 2015, just beating her rival Taylor Swift — who took the No. 2 spot!
But Katy Kat might need to watch out for next year, because Tay has been raking in the money lately thanks to her star-studded 1989 World Tour!
According to the same report, the Wildest Dreams singer’s concerts have been grossing an average of $4 million per stop — and 1989 is on pace to becoming one of the most lucrative tours in pop history!

Gary Bonginovanni, the head of concert data firm Pollstar, says that the success of this tour is likely to put Taylor at the top of the highest-earning female musicians list next year.
He said:
“It’s enormous. I would imagine she’s going to dwarf what everybody else does.”
The 1989 tour will make the 25-year-old the second woman to place on the list of the Top 10 most lucrative tours ever — right behind Madonna‘s Sticky and Sweet tour, which averaged $4.79 mil per stop!
It looks like Katy won this round, but Taylor is definitely vying for the Blank Space on top of the Forbes list in 2016! LOLz!
The 1989 tour wraps up December 18, after which we hope the songstress will take a well deserved vacation!
