UPDATE 6:09 P.M. EST: We figured Joseph was probably trolling, so we asked him. Suspicions confirmed!
Shots have officially been fired!
As we reported last month, after Taylor Swift dropped a preview of her now-released Look What You Made Me Do music video, the Internet accused the singer of copying Beyonc├â┬⌐‘s video for Formation.
Not only was Taylor and her dancers wearing similar outfits to Bey and co., the two clips both used Southern Gothic visuals.

Later that month, LWYMMD director Joseph Kahn denied ripping off JAY-Z‘s wife by saying:
“I’ve worked with Beyonc├â┬⌐ a few times. She’s an amazing person. The #LWYMMDvideo is not in her art space. Love and respect to Bey.”
However, in an interview with the Los Angeles Times published on Thursday, Khan takes it a step further and actually says Bey copied Tay!
Readdressing the comparisons, he told the publication:
“It’s not Formation at all… They try to say she’s wearing a black crop top and Beyonc├â┬⌐ wore a black crop top. But they don’t realize in 2015 in Bad Blood, Taylor Swift was wearing a black crop top. I really do think, by the way, that Beyonc├â┬⌐ copied Bad Blood.”
YIKES! Not surprisingly, the BeyHive is already attacking the filmmaker:
However, he isn’t afraid of Beyonc├â┬⌐’s fan base! He wrote on Twitter earlier this month:
Now we’ve got problems, and we don’t think we can solve ’em!
