The shocking wave of crime targeting Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ mansions is WAY worse than we realized!
This week, we found out the Kansas City Chiefs stars were victimized on back-to-back days by burglaries last month — Pat’s home in Belton, Missouri, on October 6, and Trav’s Leawood home the following day. And now we’re hearing much more about what was stolen — from irreplaceable items to the athletes’ peace of mind.
On Wednesday, an insider close to Travis’ circle told The US Sun the tight end was robbed of $100,000 worth of jewelry, in addition to the $20 thousand in cash TMZ reported was stolen on Tuesday. 100K! That’s so much!
But jewelry can be replaced, especially if it was insured. What can’t be replaced though? Personal memorabilia. And according to the source, a HUGE part of the 35-year-old’s NFL and Chiefs history was ripped away from him:
“Travis got upset as they stole some important items, including his first Super Bowl jersey, and to have someone get into his private home is something he really got uncomfy about.”
His first Super Bowl jersey? Oh, that is so awful… Poor Travis. That jersey probably held so much importance to him.
As we reported on Tuesday, Taylor Swift was in town at the time of the burglary, too. Luckily she and the football star weren’t home — they were at Arrowhead Stadium at the time of the crime. According to the insider, none of Taylor’s personal items, including the clothes and handbags she keeps at Travis’ pad, were ripped off. But that doesn’t make her feel any less awful for her man:
“[Taylor] felt bad for what happened despite not having many belongings there, but felt bad for her man and for the Mahomes.”
Speaking of the Mahomes fam, they were royally robbed as well. The insider told the outlet:
“The Mahomes got really angry as Brittany felt really bad that people got into their privacy, into their private spaces, and felt really bad about it for a bit. That really bothered them a lot, especially her, as she always wants her safe space and her family and kids to be in the safest places 24/7, and home is their sanctuary in the middle of the super active life they have.”
That’s so sad. We can’t imagine how invasive and scary that feels, especially having young kids…
Brittany reportedly had jewelry and designer bags stolen, while Patrick had jerseys, trophies, medals, awards, and other personal items stolen. He told reporters on Wednesday:
“Obviously, it’s frustrating. It’s disappointing, but I can’t get into too many details because the investigation is still ongoing. Obviously, something that you don’t want to have happen to really anybody, but obviously yourself.”
So messed up.
Overall, the source told The US Sun:
“That was a massive surprise for all of them, as they really never thought it would happen to them. That was a very, very frustrating moment, and both Kelce and Mahomes got really mad it happened, and that intruders got into their properties that they consider their ‘safe-haven’ and ‘safe place’ as they are always under the spotlights and always traveling.”
It’s unfortunately probably going to take a lot to rebuild their trust and feelings of security in their own homes, which is just so awful… We hope they beef up their security!
As Patrick noted, the investigation remains ongoing. We hope the crook is found and all of the stolen items are recovered.
