Taylor Swift just landed the role of nine lifetimes!
The pop superstar has been cast alongside Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, and Ian McKellen in the upcoming movie version of Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s musical, Cats.
The King’s Speech director Tom Hooper will direct the live action movie musical, which will begin shooting in Britain in November.

No word on which feline Tay will play, but we know she won’t be singing the iconic showstopper Memory. That ballad is reserved for J.Hud, who’s confirmed to be playing former “glamour cat” Grizabella.
We’re sure Taylor is already doing extensive character studies for her role.
