Taylor Swift is number one — was there ever any doubt??
After a week of breaking music video views and streaming records, Look What You Made Me Do has officially rocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
LWYMMD marks Taylor’s fifth #1 but probably more importantly is what it replaced.

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee‘s international hit Despacito, sometimes featuring the phonetically sounded singing of Justin Bieber, had just tied the record for most weeks at #1 and would have broken it this week.
Obviously Swifties were happy for Tay, but another group was even more thrilled — Lambs!
See, the record Despacito was going to break is held by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men‘s 1995 collab One Sweet Day. And Mariah fans were ready to thank Taylor for her role in defending the Elusive Chanteuse on Twitter:
