A placeholder track from Tay’s upcoming album 1989 was accidentally uploaded to iTunes in Canada on Tuesday.

The song, simply titled Track 3, was just eight seconds of quiet static, but that didn’t stop ravenous Taylor fans from swiftly purchasing the tune for $1.29.
In fact, so many purchased the track, presumably expecting it was the follow-up to Welcome To New York, that it was the top seller on Canada’s iTunes for the day!
