Taylor Swift Slams Donald Trump For 'Calculated Dismantling Of USPS' And 'Blatantly' Cheating The 2020 Election

Taylor Swift slams Donald Trump in a new series of tweets.

Taylor Swift had time today!

The pop singer avoiding tussling with her longtime nemesis Kanye West, who seemingly tried to reignite their feud with a SHADY tweet over the weekend and instead, decided to fiercely call out his 2020 presidential campaign opponent, Donald Trump.

In case you somehow missed it, Trump’s been openly waging war on the United States Postal Service ahead of the upcoming November election. Days after the POTUS suggested he would withhold funding for the company, which would gravely affect their ability to process mail-in voter ballots, the Folklore singer spoke out slamming the politician for his stance.

Before we even get to Taylor’s argument, it cannot be understated how gravely irresponsible it is to sabotage the most viable option to vote in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic when social distancing guidelines are still encouraged to save lives.

Taking to her Twitter account on Saturday, Swift wrote:

“Trump’s calculated dismantling of USPS proves one thing clearly: He is WELL AWARE that we do not want him as our president. He’s chosen to blatantly cheat and put millions of Americans’ lives at risk in an effort to hold on to power.

Donald Trump’s ineffective leadership gravely worsened the crisis that we are in and he is now taking advantage of it to subvert and destroy our right to vote and vote safely. Request a ballot early. Vote early.”

Preach! Way to hit the nail on the head, gurl. The 30-year-old’s comments have already racked up thousands of likes from users who clearly feel the same way. Trump’s dangerously petty and deliberate moves to subvert the voice of the American people aren’t getting past anyone. See her powerful message again (below):

Gone are the days when Tay used to silence her political opinions. We seriously love to see moments like this!! As we mentioned earlier, this well-deserved verbal lashing came after the Don recently offered these remarks about the mail-in voting system on Fox Business:

“They need that money in order to make the Post Office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots. But if they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting, because they’re not equipped to have it.”

And the 74-year-old Republican did little to quell anyone’s concerns days later at White House briefing when he followed up and told reporters he would not block any coronavirus legislation that would provide support for the Postal Service:

“We want people to vote, but we want people to vote so when they vote it means one vote. I’m not doing this for any reason. Maybe the other turns out to be my advantage. I don’t know, I can’t tell you that. But I do know this: I just want an accurate vote.”

Perezcious readers, let this be yet another serious reminder why you really need to get out and vote this year! Again, kudos to Tay for calling trash as she sees it!!
