The man who is said to have planned Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s MASSIVE Madison Square Garden bash for their wedding is reportedly in some hot legal water!
Mark Seed is being accused of failing to pay the fees of three different celeb events to Buttermilk Creative Inc, who oversaw a lot of the productions. And these aren’t little parties, y’all! One of the events, according to legal docs obtained by RadarOnline, was an A-lister bash for Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis!
Lorrie Walton, who is representing Buttermilk, said in a statement:
“Our client provided services and didn’t get paid. [T]hey throw this big, huge expensive party and then the poor guy who provides all the services doesn’t get paid because he didn’t ask for the money upfront.”
Oof.
Buttermilk ended up suing Seed in June 2025 for $476,924 in outstanding debt — and he didn’t even respond! Because of no response, an order was issued to pay the money in full PLUS fees. According to legal filings, he paid the $476,924 in damages, $178,873.54 in interest, $1,200 in attorney fees, and $1,734.61 in court costs. This added up to a grand total of $658,732.15!! Damn!

Seed has thrown huge celeb weddings for the likes of Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jack Antonoff — which is reportedly why Taylor and Travis were eyeing him for their wedding. He’s got a history of keeping things very private and details under wraps. But an alleged email from 2024 shows he also seems to have a rough history with making payments he owes…
After working with JLaw’s wedding, the alleged email sent to Buttermilk said he was super stressed out:
“Things for me are as opposite to peaceful as ever. Mentally, it’s challenging. Physically, I am doing ok. I guess that’s the nature of my job and dealing with the clients I am dealing with daily.”
We bet he was stressed out! Celeb weddings are no joke!
Seed never made an official comment on these allegations, but his lawyer Dennis Roach told an outlet he’s currently not allowed to speak on the case. Meanwhile, Walton elaborated on Buttermilk’s side of the story, alleging:
“They tried to get us to settle for some nominal amount, but obviously they didn’t reach an agreement, and we had to enter a default judgment.”
Wow.
We really hope no more legal trouble comes after Tay and Trav’s wedding!
