In fact, Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis‘ movie has claimed the highest-grossing opening for a non-sequel, R-rated comedy.

Along with Magic Mike‘s $39,155,000 opening weekend and another $34,011,000 from Brave, The Avengers has FINALLY been knocked out of the top ten titles at the weekend box office.
Not too far though. Marvel’s ultimate superhero movie is still sitting pretty at number 11 on the chart eight weeks after being released.
