Staying Strong

Good to see he’s doing better.

In a new video made by Sen. Edward Kennedy, the recovering politician says it’s “good to be home” in Cape Cod.

He continues by acknowledging the “incredible amounts of wonderful notes and letters from friends and colleagues in the Senate, as well as from people here in outpouring of support,” which were very uplifting he said.

On Wednesday, President George Bush said, “All of us are so pleased that Senator Kennedy has gone home, and our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”

Kennedy has currently been spending some well deserved time with his wife Victoria, sailing around Nantucket Sound.

He was expected to deliver a commencement address this Sunday at Wesleyan University in Connecticut.

A statement from his office said, “Senator Kennedy accepted knowing it would be an historic opportunity for the school and all those attending, including his daughter Caroline Raclin who is graduating and his son Ted Jr. who is attending his reunion.”

Instead, Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, whom Kennedy is supporting, will be filling in for the senator.

Obama released a statement saying “Considering what he’s done for me and for our country, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him.”
