The heat wave blasting through California almost turned tragic Saturday.
When teen mom Arely Amaya went for a quick trip to the store, her two small children were little more than an afterthought.
The mother left the 1-year-old and 2-week-old in their carseats with the windows up for over 20 minutes. At NOON!
A witness saw the children trapped in the 110 degree car and promptly called the police, probably saving their lives!
Police broke into the car and retrieved the kids, who were then brought to the local hospital and are reportedly doing fine.
Deputies then arrested Amaya on suspicion of child endangerment. They should add being a complete idiot to the list of charges!
We’re just glad the children were safe- this time.
