…unless it’s in the courtroom!
The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice have asked to be tried separately before a judge as they face up to 50 years behind bars for a whopping 41 counts of fraud for loan and bankruptcy embezzlement.
In the official court docs, Joe insists that Teresa was completely unaware of his involvement in criminal activity and will only testify to that if they are granted separate trials.
The document reads:
“Should the trials be severed, Mr. Giudice has affirmed his willingness to testify as to Teresa├óΓé¼Γäós involvement in the alleged criminal activity. He would be unable to do so in a joint trial wherein his Fifth Amendment rights are invoked.”
Joe’s declaration states that wasn’t aware of any of his fraudulent activity in businesses and properties. It also claims that Teresa’s signatures on any documents were forged without her authorization by either Joe, his attorney, or his business partner Joe Mastropole.
So what gives??!
Is Joe trying to protect his lady love from suiting up in an orange jumpsuit??! Seems like it!
What a sweet hubby…
…except for the fact that he’s a criminal and he could be leaving Teresa and their kids out in the cold while he serves time.
