And to think this guy came THIS close to being a presidential candidate!
Texas Governor Rick Perry cause quite a stir recently at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco (If you’re gonna say some awful shizz about the LGBT community, might as well be in SF we guess!) when he was asked whether or not he believed homosexuality was a disorder!
Being the straight shooter that he is, he gave an excruciatingly cringe-worthy explanation as to why homosexuality and alcoholism are more or less the same thing! Wait, WHAT?!
He says:
“Whether or not you feel compelled to follow a particular lifestyle or not, you have the ability to decide not to do that. I may have the genetic coding that I├óΓé¼Γäóm inclined to be an alcoholic, but I have the desire not to do that, and I look at the homosexual issue the same way.”
Wow. There are so many things wrong here we hardly know where to begin!
Witnesses at the event say Rick’s vile comments drew a reaction from the crowd, which makes sense considering he was in San Francisco! We’re guessing he forgot he wasn’t in The Lone Star State anymore!
It’s always dissappointing to hear people being so close-minded about homosexuality, especially when they’re saying it’s a DISEASE! C’mon Rick! It’s 2014!!
