Somebody on the editing team over at The Bachelor has some serious explaining to do!
The show’s first episode in a two-parter this week saw the remaining women vying for Peter Weber‘s heart dressed up in bikinis for a photo shoot date — and the skin censors were out in full force! But instead of blurring out the girls’ uncovered butts for ABC (which is typically the tactic), the reality TV mainstay’s producers and editors opted to… digitally draw in extra bikini fabric? WTF?!

The 28-year-old pilot himself was none the wiser while shooting the scene, of course, and he and his brood of lovely ladies did their thing as they normally do on this long-standing reality TV show. But when it came time to actually watch the episode, eagle-eyed fans quickly picked up on the fact that, uhhhh, something was very wrong!!!
Ch-ch-check out a few early watchers who caught on almost immediately, noting the MS Paint-like performance by the editing team choosing to color in all that naughty extra skin (below):

What in the… nothing like spending time getting super sexy under the waterfalls of Costa Rica, only to have a big yellow blob drawn in on your butt!
And it didn’t stop there, either! Other super-observant fans noted how pretty much every time a bikini was shown on camera, there was a cover-up (literally) being done to censor things for the family-friendly network:

Wow!!! We get that it’s national TV and all, and you can’t have everything hangin’ out there, but drawing on bikini colors like this?! What happened to the tried and true blurry box?!?!
One viewer noted how ridiculous the whole thing was, tweeting (below):
“I’m obsessed with the bachelor giving the girls thong bikinis to wear on this date but then editing massive fake full coverage bikini bottoms onto them. absolutely the most confusing show i’ve ever seen.”
LOLz! Another one added more:
“the best part of #TheBachelor is when the girls wear bikinis and if too much cheek is showing and the producers just try and draw more to the bottoms to show less ass. Quality editing.”

Superfans noted how past seasons used blurred pixels and/or black boxes to cover the extra skin, with one incredulous viewer tweeting:
“it’s crazy how bad the photoshop is. I think past seasons they blocked it out with a black box! No idea why they decided to just use paint this time around ?.”
