She sure knew how to make herself noticed!
Olivia Caridi was far and away the breakout star of this season of The Bachelor, and while we were supposed to be captivated by Ben Higgins‘ quest for love, we actually found ourselves focused on the 23-year-old news anchor from Austin, Texas.
Olivia somehow managed to play every single role this year — villain, lunatic, front-runner, etc. — but now that she’s been eliminated, she’s speaking out about watching her character unravel on national television.

While talking to Us at the Women Tell All taping scheduled to air Monday, March 7, Olivia opened up about her “embarrassing” time on the ABC reality show, saying:
“In that situation, you grab onto straws because you’re like, ‘He can’t really tell me he likes me, so he looked at me, he touched my leg’ — but it’s embarrassing, of course, to watch that. I look into everything — I’m an overanalyzer.
I think my sarcasm and my dry humor was interpreted sometimes [as] ‘I’m crazy’ or something, and there were some situations that played out differently than they happened, but I just don’t think I ever made it to air. Like, the real me.
I think if we had met outside of this sphere, we could have worked, but he was not the one for me, and that’s okay. I watched, and I was like, ‘Yeah, okay, that wasn’t right.’ I was just so hyper-focused and so ready. But he’s an amazing man, and on paper, whoa — perfect for me. But he’s obviously incredibly happy with his choice, so I’m thrilled for him.”
What a sweet sentiment!
Although, we hope she isn’t this tame when she inevitably stars on Bachelor in Paradise next season! LOLz!
