**SPOILERS AHEAD**
Beccca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen may be happy as can be after riding off into the proverbial sunset Monday night on the final episode of The Bachelorette, but Garrett has some things to make right before the two can live happily ever after…
As you’ll remember from a few months back, he was the contestant caught up in an Instagram controversy when it was discovered he had liked posts on the social network that were controversial — including extremely offensive posts that were both transphobic and homophobic.

For the past few months, Garrett hasn’t done much to address the controversy considering the show’s weekly episode run and the relatively strict gag order placed over contestants still competing on the reality TV spectacular.
But now that things are over, well, it’s high time for Mr. Yrigoyen to address why he liked those shitty, offensive IG posts…
Last night, Becca’s fiancé first tried to explain himself to the media (below):
“When I was liking things, it was going against what she stands for, and that made it really hard on us as a couple, so when we started talking about that, we got through that together, and we’re growing, we’re progressing, and we’re moving forward.”
Hmmm…

And Becca followed up with her own (slightly better) acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation (below):
“The Instagram situation, I don’t condone that. I know that he stands by his apology and he feels so bad for everyone that he did offend, and he didn’t mean it, but I just want to move forward and to learn and to grow, and to continue to educate ourselves, and that’s all you can ask for in another person, is that somebody who recognizes if they make a mistake and do something wrong, and want to learn and grow from it, and that’s what he’s shown me.”
Uh-huh.
The two were forced to deal with it head-on once again Tuesday morning live on national daytime TV, and good for GMA for at least bringing it to the forefront one more time before Garrett is likely allowed to waltz off to his mindlessly happy post-Bachelorette life (below):

What do U think, Perezcious readers — did Garrett learn his lesson?? Is he just sorry he got caught?! Are they just hoping (knowing) this will blow over soon and it won’t matter a couple days from now, even though it probably should?!
