Formerly defunct cross-dressing Canadian comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall are reuniting for a new television series!
Only airing in Canada, unfortch.
The series, titled Death Comes to Town, was created by Bruce McCulloch with the rest of the Kids (Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson) hopping on board with co-writing duties.
Death Comes to Town will be an 8-part “comic murder-mystery series” which will follow the story of “what happens in a small town when all its most distinguished citizens are murdered.”
Says McCulloch, “We have thought about reuniting on television for years but we’ve all had a lot of personal projects and weren’t sure about how we wanted to come back together.”
What a perfect way to reunite!
The show is slated to air on Canada’s CBC staring in January 2010.
