Oh this is all so horrifically f*cked up!
The mother of 36 year-old Rebecca Wingo – one of the 12 fatalities of the James Holmes Dark Knight Rises shootings – has decided to sue the Centrury 16 movie theater where the mass-killings took place, claiming their exit doors should have been more secure!
It is widely believed James Holmes had bought a ticket to the midnight showing of Dark Knight Rises and waited for 15 mins in screen 9, before exiting through one set of emergency doors leaving them propped open for convenient re-entry.
Shirley Wygal has supposedly secured an LA lawyer who will file a lawsuit alleging the movie theater in question should have had alarm-sensitive emergency exits, or should have had security personal guarding the doors.
As we’ve previously reported, unharmed eye witness Torrence Brown is also suing the Century 16 theater, as well as Holmes’ doctors and Warner Bros.
While we can’t begin to imagine the anger, heartbreak, and helplessness those effected by this disturbing crime are currently experiencing, suing an innocent company that had NOTHING to do with the depraved acts of one individual seems a tad excessive.
Plus, even if the doors had been more secure, we’re sure James would have found some other way to execute his sick plan.
All we can hope for is that justice will be SWIFTLY and effectively served to Mr. James Holmes.
