We knew The Hunger Games would be big, but we didn’t know it was going to be this HUGE!!
The popular movie ticket website Fandango is reporting that their first-day advance sales of The Hunger Games has eclipsed ticket sales of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
In fact, it’s the company’s biggest first-day advance sells EVER in its 12-year history.
Hundreds of showtimes are already sold out and the movie doesn’t even come out until March 23.
A Fandango rep said:
“Yesterday we saw the biggest first day advance ticketing sales in our company├óΓé¼Γäós nearly 12-year history ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ which is especially impressive for a March release and a non-sequel.”
And he’s absolutely right. As we all know, summer/holiday releases typically outdo other films in terms of ticket sells, ESPECIALLY if it’s a sequel of a popular film.
We hate to say this (we really, really do), but we think Twilight may be old news…
