It’s no secret that the Judd family has had their share of tragedy.
And now mother/daughter country duo, Naomi and Wynonna Judd are speaking about daughter/sister Ashley Judd‘s new memoir, All That Is Bitter & Sweet, that detailed a painful childhood filled with loneliness, neglect, and molestation.
Mother Naomi says:
“I think it’s key for us to spend time figuring our own reality. Every unhappiness is tied to a story, and we have to go back and figure out our stories. And then it’s our stories that connect us.”
And the veil has been lifted,” adds Wynonna. “Secrets keep you sick and families will heal once you get real.”
We’re so happy that Ashley’s memoir didn’t tear her family apart. It’s reassuring to see Wynonna and Naomi support their sister and daughter.
We will always love the Judds for their openness and honesty.
