A family rift is keeping legendary star Mickey Rooney from being laid to rest??
This is SO SAD!
A restraining order will likely to be placed on the body of the late actor as his family is allegedly fighting on where the burrial should be.
Mickey’s lawyers insist he wanted a grand Hollywood funeral that could cost tens of thousands of dollars, while his wife, Jan Chamberlain, believes he should be quietly buried next to his mother.
A source close to the family revealed this matter needs to be decided in court, because everyone is worried the other will take the body:
“Mickey’s lawyers claim this is what he would have wanted, but Jan knows him best and he wanted to be next to his mom. But the lawyers don├óΓé¼Γäót trust each other, in essence. They’re going to court and slapping a restraining order on the body. Believe it or not, there├óΓé¼Γäós that much paranoia that everyone is scared the other side could sneak in, plan a funeral and take the body, as absurd as that sounds. So it’s going to remain with the state until the issue is resolved.”
And even though Jan and Mickey were living separately for over a year, she still wants the absolute best for him:
“If she does have to have a big celebrity funeral, it’s only right she should be at the front hosting the event rather than having to plead for an invite.”
We hope the family finds peace, closure, and his final resting place soon.
