The Lorax is box office gold!
Forty years after the Dr. Seuss book was written, the 3D film version of the story broke box office records this weekend, making it the biggest movie of 2012 so far!
Sure, it’s just the beginning of March and yeah, obviously we have The Hunger Games to look forward to later this month, but as for now, animated movies win!
It pulled in $70.7 in its first couple of days, almost double than expected. It’s also the biggest animated movie opening in two years.
With Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Betty White, and Danny DeVito voicing the film, the movie appeals to not just kids, but teens and adults too.
