The Lorax Keeps Its Top Spot At The Box Office!

The Lorax is still the reigning champ at the movies!
The Dr. Seuss book-turned-flick earned $39.1 million in the last few days, topping John Carter‘s haul of $30.6 million. This is a huge blow to John Carter, which had a whopping $250 million budget and needed to open to at least $50 million.
Talk about a shot to the ego! Hope the sequel hasn’t been signed off on just yet!
Party flick Project X dropped to third, but still raked in an impressive $11.6 million. Elizabeth Olsen‘s Silent House and the war film Act of Valor tied for fourth with $7.0 million a piece.
Does The Lorax have the momentum to make it three weeks in a row?! We’re thinking yes … but only because we want to see Zac Efron promoting it more, more, more!
