A small victory for Stella McCartney!
In a new development, British High Court Judge Christopher Floyd ruled on Thursday to allow the designer to proceed with the launch of her new perfume, STELLANUDE, this coming weekend in Britain.
Bono’s wife, Ali Hewson, and her Nude Brands, Ltd. business partner, Bryan Meehan, had requested motion to stop the launch in light of the lawsuit they have brought against McCartney for her use of the capitalized word ‘nude,’ which they claim to have registered trademark on.
While this is some good news, the actual court case won’t be heard until September, when a judge will decide whether or not McCartney may use the word ‘nude’ in her perfume name.
