The Simpsons Cast Has Until Noon! Agree With Paycut Or Else!

This is awful!
The Simpsons CAN and SHOULD go on, but the series’ new financial position calls for a 45% pay-cut in talent salaries — dropping from 440,000 to 250,000 per episode.
While the producers have already accepted their pay-cuts, the voice actors are chaining themselves to a tree.
Fox Television issued a statement:

We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model. We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come.

We want that too! We’ve been watching since the animation sucked!!!
Sure, they’ve had some dips in creativity in their 23-season run, but the ups still outnumber the downs. These last two seasons especially! We’ve really been seeing their genius satire make a comeback, and we’d hate to see it end.
Like the headline says, the talent has until noon to decide Simpson fate.
Sigh… we’ll keep you posted…
