Really?
The Vatican’s newspaper L’Osservatore Romano recently published an article praising The Simpsons‘ use of religion in the show, saying that “many today wouldn’t know how to laugh” without it!
They attribute The Simpsons‘ success to its “realistic and intelligent writing” and THANKED the producers for showing Homer’s “struggle with his own faith.” The article explains:
“Homer finds in God his last refuge, even though he sometimes gets His name sensationally wrong. But these are just minor mistakes, after all, the two know each other well.”
How progressive of the Church!
And strange!
