It looks like the table settings may finally be in place for the next season of The View.
But who the heck are these new ladies?
An inside source tells us that Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg had their pick of a group of ten hopefuls who tested. But these two were chosen for very specific reasons.
First, Nicolle Wallace is a Republican political commentator, and they always planned to have someone from the other side of the aisle, a la Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
But we hear there were other conservatives testing for the spot, including Wednesday’s guest host S.E. Cupp! So how did Nicolle come out on top?
According to our source, it’s because she didn’t fight quite as hard. We’re hearing anyone who seemed to win a debate against Whoopi and Rosie didn’t even make it to the second round!
Apparently they want someone to disagree with them, NOT for someone to beat them!
As for October Gonzalez, we’re hearing they just wanted to finally get a Latina woman at the table! And for that we are on board!
October has no TV experience, apart from doing interviews about her NFL star hubby Tony Gonzalez, so she may be the show’s biggest risk.
But then again she beat everyone else out for the seat, so maybe she’s just a natural!
