When The View premiered last month, it had some big ratings! More people tuned in than in the past few years just to see the all-new lineup!
But since then, Rosie O’Donnell and company have not kept that momentum.
According to the latest numbers, the show is averaging ratings lower than last year at the same time, making this the fourth straight year the show’s numbers have dropped!

In fact, ratings are now down 30% from five years ago!
This may be partially due to stiff competition; The View‘s biggest challenger The Talk is now nipping at its heels.
From a huge viewer deficit of over 68%, the CBS hit has climbed up on par with the former ratings juggernaut. In key female demographics, they’re practically even!

So is The View dying?
Well, it still averages 2.8 million viewers, so that’s a long way off. But this shot in the arm of new co-hosts seems to have been a placebo.
