We’re very disappointed by this news.
On Saturday, The Weeknd was arrested in Las Vegas for punching a cop for undisclosed reasons.
According to the police, the singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, used a CLOSED FIST to hit the officer in the head.

Wow, we’re shocked by the 24-year-old’s violence!
A representative for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said of the incident:
“A man by the name Abel Tesfaye was arrested on Saturday night in Las Vegas at about 4:42 a.m. Special Event officers responded to call regarding a fight that broke out at the 3500 Block of South Las Vegas Blvd. When they got to the venue there was a big group of people in an altercation.”
Abel was subsequently charged with battery of a protected person and he’s currently out on bail.
The Weeknd has yet to release an official statement in response to his arrest.
