They Got Their Money!

The Simpsons are back on!

After months of back and forth heated negotiations, the cast has just sealed a four-year deal which will guarantee them a larger salary.

The voice actors, who were making around $360,000 an episode, are now set to earn around $400k per show. So, they should each pocket at least an extra mill a year! Not too shabby.

The deal was worked out this weekend and the cast is set to be back at work today.

The only one left to finalize his deal is Harry Shearer, who voices Mr. Burns. Though a final deal is expected with him shortly.

As for Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer, he’s been named consulting producer on the series and will also serve as a writer.

However, although the cast is set by contract for another 4 years, that doesn’t guarantee they’ll be back next year.

The Simpsons contract with Fox expires at the end of this year’s 20th season. Fox has yet to renew the show.

We’re guessing this might be the final year for them.

Might as well go out while you’re still slightly hot!
