This Coffee Shop Is Giving Paying Jobs To Homeless Men & Women… And Business Is Now Booming!

Seth and Kelly Kelley (whose name proves you can’t help whom you fall in love with) opened up a cafe in Fort Collins, Colorado last May. Their business, Redtail Coffee, does more than make a mean cup of joe though. This coffee shop is being staffed by homeless individuals!
After a low-incoming housing project named Red Tail Ponds received some pushback from locals, Seth and Kelly wanted to come up with a way to show citizens of Fort Collins that they they had nothing to fear in helping their fellow man!
Seth explains:

“[We wanted to] challenge neighbors to see the people living in those projects as their baristas, their person who served them coffee every morning.”

The Kelleys had never run a cafe before but they knew this was an opportunity that could do some amazing good in their town. As of right now, they employ one homeless man, but this fall they will begin bringing on others from the nearby housing development. Their website states that they will exclusively hire residents of Red Tail Ponds!
Which means there are going to be A LOT of people getting back on their feet, thanks to the Kelleys!
And as for the people of Fort Collins, they seem to have changed their attitudes. How else can you explain why Redtail Coffee has turned a profit after only 3 months!
