So sad.
Three more edlerly people have died in New York due to the city’s scorching heat wave that has drastically affected the city all summer.
This has brought the total number of local heat-related deaths to seven people, including a 77-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man who had succumbed to hyperthermia when temperatures rose above 92 degrees.
Last Thursday, an 84-yearold woman died in The Bronx from the intense heat, in addition to three more who lost their lives on July 23 when temperatures soared to a record-breaking 100 degrees.
Please try to stay out of the sun, if possible. And check on elderly relatives often. It’s still gonna be a hot one out there!
