Pro Football In L.A.?! Not One... Not Two... But THREE NFL Teams Just Asked To Move To The City Of Angels!

When it rains, it pours; and when El Lay wants a pro football team, they get… three?!
Big news out of the City of Angels comes from the NFL Tuesday as three teams — the San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders, and St. Louis Rams — all just filed paperwork to relocate there.

In a statement, the league confirmed the applications from each of the teams, noting:

“The applications will be reviewed this week by league staff and three league committees that will meet in New York on Wednesday and Thursday.”

Of course, it’s been about 20 years since the Rams and Raiders both left El Lay for St. Louis and Oakland, respectively — but now the pair as well as the Chargers want to get back to the glitz and glam of Hollywood!
There’s still a ton of legal maneuvering to happen before any of this can be a reality, and it’s not likely to expect all three teams to be playing football in the city; the NFL has said they will only support two relocations at most.
But if you’re a pro football fan in the celeb capital of the world, take note — your wait for a team is probably going to end very soon!

Although… it doesn’t sound like the people of San Diego are taking the news so well.
The city’s mayor, Kevin Faulconer, pretty much said on Twitter that the Chargers’ owners went full-on Will Ferrell with a “go f*ck yourself, San Diego” (below):
