Restaurant Apologizes For Unintentionally Hosting A White Supremacist Dinner After Tila Tequila's Alt-Right Party Performs Nazi Salute...

no title
Welcome to Donald Trump‘s f*cked up America, everyone.
On Friday, Maggiano’s Little Italy hosted a white supremacist dinner for a group called the National Policy Institute, which is “dedicated to the heritage, identity, and future of people of European descent in the United States, and around the world.”
But don’t worry — this accidental combination of two of the AXIS powers was completely accidental!

The dinner, which included repulsive attendees like known nationalist Richard Spencer and self-proclaimed Adolf Hitler defender Tila Tequila, seemed to be celebrating Trump’s impending presidency.
And, at the event, the Shot of Love alum even posted a picture of herself conducting a Nazi salute (above), captioning the shot on Twitter:

“Sieg Heil”

She continued to document the evening on the social media site, posting:

We are horrified that the U.S. has elected a man who makes white supremacy groups feel this empowered and justified in their bigotry.
But we aren’t the only ones. Once it became clear the evening’s event was set up by a white nationalist organization, protesters swarmed the restaurant, ultimately causing it to close.
Miz Tequila also took to Twitter to comment on the demonstrators, saying:

On Monday, Maggiano’s took to Facebook to apologize for hosting the disgusting group, claiming they had no idea the last-minute reservation was for a supremacy organization, writing:

“On Friday night, Maggiano’s in Friendship Heights was the inadvertent site of a protest that caused us to close our restaurant to protect the safety of our Teammates and Guests.
The protesters were upset because of a banquet we were hosting for a group called the National Policy Institute (NPI). This was a last minute booking made Friday afternoon, and the reservation was made under a different name, therefore we were not aware that NPI was dining with us or what the group represents.”

The chain even called out Tila’s revolting photo, adding:

“After the event, an attendee sent a tweet in which she made a “Sieg Heil salute” in support of Hitler and white supremacy. This expression of support of Hitler is extremely offensive to us, as our restaurant is home to Teammates and Guests of every race, religion and cultural background.”

The restaurant also exclaimed it was sincerely sorry for its involvement in the offensive evening, confessing they’re donating the profits from the upsetting night to DC’s Anti-Defamation League:

“We want to sincerely apologize to the community of Friendship Heights for inadvertently hosting this meeting, which resulted in hateful sentiment. We want you to know that at the suggestion of one of our Guests, we are donating the profits from our restaurant sales on Friday, $10,000, to the DC office of the Anti-Defamation League, which for decades has been working to bring people together in peace and understanding.”
