Faith Hill & Tim McGraw Speak Out In Support Of Gun Control -- 'It's Not About The Second Amendment'

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
We love hearing this message coming from such huge voices in country music.
In a new feature for Billboard, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill used their platform to speak out in support of gun control.
After a year full of tragedy and heartbreaking loss, it’s about time we all realize this is a bipartisan public safety issue.
The Nashville power couple felt inclined to discuss the issue following the deadly shooting at Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas in October that left 58 dead and 527 injured.

Tim explained to the outlet that this isn’t a Second Amendment issue:

“Look, I’m a bird hunter ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I love to wing-shoot. However, there is some common sense that’s necessary when it comes to gun control. They want to make it about the Second Amendment every time it’s brought up. It’s not about the Second Amendment.”

Faith went on to call out the government, and even the NRA, to tell the truth — and work to create a safe country:

“In reference to the tragedy in Las Vegas, we knew a lot of people there. The doctors that [treated] the wounded, they saw wounds like you’d see in war. That’s not right. Military weapons should not be in the hands of civilians. It’s everyone’s responsibility, including the government and the National Rifle Association, to tell the truth. We all want a safe country.”

Donald Trump, are you listening???
We also want to acknowledge Tim and Faith for being willing speak out even though many of their fans may disagree. That’s how real change happens.
