Relax, Peyton Manning! You’re job isn’t the jeopardy!! However, there is a chance that Tim Tebow will be joining you as a quarterback in Denver!
A new, spring football league called the A-11 Football League has been created and is looking to have their very first full season starting March 2015! But, we’ll get a little sneak peek of what’s to come this May and June with two exhibition games!
So far, six teams have been announced in Tampa Bay, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, New Jersey, Chicago, and Dallas, and A11FL commissioner Scott McKibben says they’re looking to add two more teams by next year:
“We will have eight teams next year. Today, the leading candidates for the remaining two franchises are the Denver Gold and the (Detroit) Michigan Panthers. Obviously, we know of the popularity and history of pro football in Denver.”
So what does all of this have to do with Timmy?? Well Tebow-mania was such a big hit in Denver that the league has already contacted his agent and made him an offer, which would also give him partial team ownership!
Now, for those of you who are asking, “Didn’t he just sign a deal to be a college football analyst with ESPN?” Yes, he did. But because the A11FL’s season is from March to June, the season actually wouldn’t overlap with his commentator duties!!
And to make things even better, Timmy has a clause in his contract that says he can opt out if he signs with a NFL team, so if this proves to be a stepping stone back to the league, he’s in pretty good shape!!
