Come on, Timoth├â┬⌐e Chalamet — we were rooting for you!
In a new interview with Christiane Amanpour on CNN, the Call Me By Your Name star dodged a question about Woody Allen by saying it’ll only “anger people.” Hm.
As you probably know, the 22-year-old actor has gotten a lot of backlash for working with the alleged sexual abuser on his upcoming movie Rainy Day In New York, alongside Elle Fanning, Jude Law, and Selena Gomez.

In the clip, Amanpour asks:
“Do you have any qualms about working with Woody Allen? Your next film has him as the director and as you know he’s been accused by his daughter [Dylan Farrow] of sexual abuse. He’s never been charged, he hasn’t been arrested, none of that. But I wonder if you think about it and whether you ask how has he escaped the #MeToo revolution.”
The Interstellar star responded by not responding, saying:
“It’s gonna be really important for me to talk about that … I hesitate to talk about it right now because what I say is only gonna anger people. So when that films comes out, if it comes out, that’s gonna be really important to talk about, but that’s not the time right now.”
