Timothy Heller is standing by the rape allegations she made against Melanie Martinez.
As we previously reported, in a detailed note on Twitter, the aspiring musician claimed The Voice alum got her high and sexually assaulted her during a sleepover. While Martinez has since denied the accusations, she enraged fans by claiming Heller “never said no to what [they] chose to do together.”

Ugh. Regardless, Timothy is continuing to share her story with those who will listen.
During a chat with Newsweek, the former Dresses artist suggested that Melanie attempted to squash her rape admission back in November. Apparently, after sharing online that she intended to post her sexual assault story, Martinez reached out to Heller.
Specifically, Timothy posted:
What if I have my own story of abuse but I├óΓé¼Γäóm scared to ruin the persons life and I still love them in a fucked up way and the public really really loves them and most probably wouldn├óΓé¼Γäót believe me….I need advice

According to Heller’s account, 20 minutes after the tweet (above) went live, Melanie reached out to her. It was the first time Heller had heard from Martinez in a year. She noted:
“I started sobbing when I saw [Melanie] was calling me, and I blocked her.”
After Timothy blocked Melanie’s number, the Mad Hatter singer attempted to contact her former friend’s boyfriend — and even requested that the man put her in contact with Heller. In the text messages (confirmed by Newsweek), Melanie claimed she had recently dreamt about Timothy and was inspired to reach out.
She also suggested that Timothy see a healer named Raven — a suggestion Timothy found “insane” and incredibly insulting. Heller continued:
“Her fans see her as this angel who understands them. So I assumed no one was going to take me seriously if I explained what she did. I’ve been reading all the #metoo stories, and though I’m obviously in support of the people coming forward, I wasn’t sure if my story of being assaulted fit.”
Per Timothy’s Twitter statement on the incident, Melanie got her high, fondled her breasts, penetrated her with a sex toy, and performed oral sex on her. Although she was hesitant to speak out, she wanted her followers to realize that “girls can rape girls [and] best friends can rape best friends.”
Timothy told the publication:
“People don’t really talk about this. But I know now that assault happens this way all the time. I loved her even after it happened, and I had this sick need to protect her, which I’ve learned is very common for victims of assault, especially those hurt by their family or friends.”
Heller’s friendship with Martinez complicated and confused Timothy’s feelings on the matter for some time. The twosome maintained a friendship “for a while,” as Timothy invalidated her own experience for years as Melanie is “not a man.” Reportedly, it was Martinez who ended the friendship as a psychic “told her she had to cut people out of her life if she wanted to win a Grammy.”
Nonetheless, Timothy has since found her voice and confidently claims she said no to the sexual encounter with Melanie:
“First of all, I did say ‘no,’ multiple times. But even if I hadn’t, that doesn’t mean I wanted it. She dug her own grave saying, ‘she didn’t say no’. That’s not consent.”
Fair point. As for Melanie, her rep stated that she “stands by her statement.”
