Guess the reunion was short-lived!
The war between Jessica and Ashlee Simpson‘s divorcing parents, Joe and Tina, was set aside on Saturday as the family celebrated the wedding of CaCee Cobb and Donald Faison, but according to new reports, the singer and her mother were recently devastated to discover that dear old dad reportedly took out a $4.5 million life insurance policy on his biggest meal ticket…without telling EITHER of them and naming HIMSELF as the sole beneficiary!
Apparently, Poppa Joe did all of this in secret over 8 years ago, but Tina and Jessica were only made aware of its existence during a meeting between her lawyers at Dunnam & Dunnam and his business manager, David Levin!
Insiders explain:
├óΓé¼┼ôTina found out about yet another one of Joe├óΓé¼Γäós secrets and couldn├óΓé¼Γäót believe what she was hearing. It came out in a meeting with David and her attorneys last week that Joe set up a life insurance policy for Jessica 8 years ago that made him the sole beneficiary. It was pointed out to Tina that as Jessica’s manager Joe wasn’t doing anything underhanded by taking out a policy to protect his biggest income source, but she was absolutely furious that Joe did it without consulting her or Jessica. Joe├óΓé¼Γäós actions have put a massive strain on the family, and it├óΓé¼Γäós only getting worse. It├óΓé¼Γäós hard to see that Tina and Joe will ever be amicable with each other again and the divorce case is shaping up to be very messy.├óΓé¼┬¥
It certainly sounds that way!
Obviously, this man has made a habit of keeping certain details about his professional and personal life private from his wife and kids, and we have to admit at this point that we’re VERY curious to find out what other kind of shiz he’s been up to that will no doubt come out eventually!
It’s just such a shame that his family has to find out this way, too!
